Our Clinicians

The Bay Area Center for Couples Therapy, with offices in San Francisco, Marin, the East Bay, the Peninsula, the South Bay and Anywhere in California via Zoom, is a multidisciplinary group of clinicians who provide treatment for couples.  Our therapists use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and aspects of Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help couples stop fighting and regain the love they have for each other.  Below is a list of our team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists who assess and treat issues unique to couples.

Joann Riggio is a Marriage and Family Therapist, who has helped many people recognize their true potential while helping them overcome their emotional difficulties. As a couples counselor, she understands the strain that work and child rearing responsibilities place on the relationship, which often results in the loss of effective communication and connection with each other. Utilizing techniques from Dr. John Gottman, and Dr. Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, she helps couples reconnect and reestablish their love relationship with a deeper understanding of one another.
